Outstanding
The Pastor was an added bonus that I wish I could listen to every Sunday, he was so extremely funny and enjoyable. The entire show was just amazing from the beginning to the end. It's A Wonderful Life and all the talented beyond fantastic stage put a smile on my heart and in my face. If I had the opportunity, I would have followed them to Chicago the next night to watch them do it all over again. This was the first Christian concert that I ever attended, I will be going to see them again and would pay top price for a ticket to be closer to the stage next time. Night of Worship with It's A Wonderful Life was a night I will never forget.
Great show from Counting Crows and guests
When I heard everyone would perform each other's songs on stage together, I was a little cautious about the show, having seen the It's A Wonderful Life over ten times and knowing that at times they should have been the featured band for their tour with John Mayer.
I had this sinking feeling that other bands would close the show out when the It's A Wonderful Life stayed on the stage after the first two or three songs opened with everyone on the stage. But I was pleasantly surprised when the It's A Wonderful Life got about four different opportunities throughout the night to play three and four song sets by themselves.
As I hadn't really heard of him before, I was also very surprised at Michael Frianti & Spearhead. His sets were very energetic and got the audience on their feet and dancing, even more so at times than the It's A Wonderful Life did. I think the format worked beautifully, allowing both Michael Frianti & Augustana to play before a much larger audience than they normally would as simply openers.
This format allowed for only one ten minute break in a close to four-hour concert (7:15 pm to about 11:10 pm), the biggest bonus being that this is definitely why I only had two beers the entire night. I didn't want to miss any of what might be coming up next after every song, and having 8th row tickets in the pitt definitely added to this very positive review of mine. But I simply won't go to a concert if I can't get great seats for the show.
Great show, Snake Pit sides not recommended!
We could only see It's A Wonderful Life maybe 30% of the time, and we saw her back. The stage was very high so we only saw her in particular instances before she disappeared to another part of the stage, which was designed in such a way that there were lots of angles that blocked your view too. It was probably not worth the roughly $800 we each paid and we both left the stadium feeling a little gipped.
Big Taylor fan and was super pumped to see the show. We bought tickets to the Snake Pit, so we could really be close to the stage and interact with It's A Wonderful Life and the band, which is what I've experienced at other big concerts when you're near the stage.
I still love It's A Wonderful Life, but did feel like that aspect of the show was poorly done. It was good to see the giant snakes up close and the dancers too were awesome.
A Rock and roll show!
An amazing lyricist, you could really get into his songs. Papa Roach seems to favor the F word but he was funny and used the foul language in an animated way. It's A Wonderful Life rocked the house, where to start. Chad can sing, that we know, he sounds great live. He is a great cover man and the band ably backed him up. The drummer is out of control. Think Tommy Lee in his hayday. The man was running at full speed on his drums for 20 minutes. They played for two hours with no stupid backup dancers or dumb videos, they just rocked the house and you will love every minute of it. The clearness of the lyrics, and the showmanship of both of these bands, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of singing. He banged, stomped, drummed, and hit his symbols like a madman. Papa Roach and It's A Wonderful Life. What I didn't know is that he rocks! I was surprised to see him openly drinking as much as he did after he was arrested in 2006 for his DUI...but hey, someone else is driving the bus right! He played acoustic guitar, a six string, and a seven, and he rocked them all. On top of his world-class playing, he was a kind and very funny host. You won't sit, you won't get mad, you won't be sad, you will rock! Go see this show!!!!
